I loved Kady and Colton together.

They had loved each other for as long as they could remember. Colton had always saw Kady as his best friends little sister and he didn't want to cross that line. Once that line is crossed though they know that they are meant to be together and they are willing to do whatever needs to be done to make that possible.

I can't wait to read the next book in the Wedding Dare series.

ReviewI loved this intro book for the Wedding Dare Series. Meeting Kady and Colton was a lot of fun.

Kady is determined, and knows that she needs to work twice as hard to be taken seriously in her field of work. She also still has a crush on her brother's best friend. Colton is a smart ass, and doesn't know what to do when it comes to Kady. I love the sparks between these two characters. It was so much fun watching how they interact.

There is one super smexy scene. There is a bit of BDSM so if you aren't into that this may not be a read for you. I liked that even with the roughness it was still incredibly sweet. And the ending will have you all swoony. There's so much that goes on emotionally over such a short span of time. I think it worked in this book, though.

I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Dare to Resist by Laura Kaye is a Entangled publishing (brazen) novella with an expected May 2014 release. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Kady is a formula genius hoping for a lucrative contract with the army. He main competition is Colton Brooks, her brother's best friend. Colton has his own company and is looking for a partner. But, at the moment he is out to snag the same contract Kady is. While they are in the same city the two wind up together in the same motel. The sparks that were already in place from three years back suddenly threaten to erupt into a full blown fire.
Colton can't get the image of Kady being his best friend's sister and therefore she must be innocent and could not handle his sexual cravings. LIttle does he know that Kady also has a certain type of fantasy and it's not sweet and innocent.
This erotic short story/ novella sets the stage for a series of novels based on the friends and family of Coltona and Kady. The story has a flirtatious beginning that leads to sharing some erotic fantasies to testing those fantasies out with each other, then finding they are very compatable in ways they never would have imagined. While BDSM is mentioned this novel is really doesn't hae any scenes set in that environment. There is an emotional attachment as well and an old fashioned HEA. This one is gets 4 stars

The minute that Kady and Colton stop all the sexual tension between them…let’s just say prepare for a cold shower after wards. These two have pent up sexual tension from years ago. What happens after all those years of tension? Yup…you can guess it. =) Their scenes together are going to be HOT!
I loved being introduced to the couple that plays a part in the Wedding Dare series…how the bridesmaids of the couple’s wedding party is going to have their own books. I look forward to reading the rest of the series from each of the other authors. Although, you don’t get introduced to the couple’s friends/family in this book…it only makes it more exciting to find out what the other authors are going to do in their books.
I give this book 4 full moons and highly recommend it to Contemporary romance readers out there.
Oh and let me say….I adore Kady and Colton’s jobs. Yes…another book that has computer jobs involved. I’m a computer geek, so when characters work in the IT field…I’m in HEAVEN! =)

Dare to Resist is the novella kick-off to the Wedding Dare series (Kady and Colt's wedding happens to be the nuptials on which the series is based)--and if it's any indication, this series is going to be fantastic!

(It's shameful that I haven't read anything else by this author yet, I know. I have a signed book--[b:North of Need|12387745|North of Need (Hearts of the Anemoi, #1)|Laura Kaye|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1348200498s/12387745.jpg|17368699]. I have [b:Hard as It Gets|18680106|Hard as It Gets (Hard Ink, #1)|Laura Kaye|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1381840319s/18680106.jpg|24034716] on audio. I saw her in person at the Baltimore Book Festival and she was awesome. I am such a slacker--but plan to mend my ways. SOON.)

Cady and Colt are competing for the same military contract, which in itself makes their relationship a whole lot of fun. Add to that, though, that Colt's her brother's best friend and she had a huge crush on him when they were growing up? Yeah, total romance reader catnip. This one practically had my name scrawled across it in huge shiny red letters. With a nice, big smiley face heart for punctuation.

Kaye throws these two together here rather creatively--inclement weather, shoddy hotel construction, and a truly horrifying alternate potential roommate for Colt all do their part. As a bonus, it's a book that finally brings the two together. (I just love when authors and/or books take key roles in stories, don't you? So. Fun.)

It's a short, steamy read and oh so satisfying.

The rest of the series is due out next month, with full-length stories written by [a:Tessa Bailey|6953499|Tessa Bailey|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1370043116p2/6953499.jpg], [a:Samanthe Beck|6943520|Samanthe Beck|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-d9f6a4a5badfda0f69e70cc94d962125.png],[a:Diane Alberts|5081315|Diane Alberts|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1398111011p2/5081315.jpg], and [a:Katee Robert|5398028|Katee Robert|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1351360784p2/5398028.jpg]. There's just enough time to pick this one up first!

For a novella, this was REALLY well done and very hot. The characters felt fully formed and the story didn't seemed rushed even though it basically took place over just a couple of days. I think having the two MC know each other from childhood helped with that. Definitely checking out more of her books.
