I’ve always enjoyed Mary E Pearsons writing, and considering how much I liked the Remnant Chronicles, and then how much I loved Bristol Keats, it made sense to finally read this one. I will say, out of the 3 this one is probably my least favourite, but I still have the final book to read and perhaps that will change things!
This was definitely heavy on the romance right from the start, which honestly wasn’t my favourite. I love a good yearning moment, a good ‘will they won’t they’ that drags on and makes me want to scream at them to “kiss already!!!” - and this was anything but that. While not being my favourite setup, I still enjoyed the relationship between the two main characters regardless of the semi insta love (and total insta lust) they had going on.
I’m excited to see where things go and my fingers are crossed that the horrific poor communication trope is left in the dust.

Edited/added later: I did not realize this is in the same world as The Remnant Series, and based on what others have said if I read that first this probably would have been a higher star read/would supply the missing world building layers
