I just finished, and I’m already hungover from this book. I want to turn around and read it all over again. The vampire society was very intriguing, and I love Tigest’s goal of making the characters more diverse. Having vampires of color is so refreshing after years and years of sparkly white vampires (I love Twilight as much as the next person, but it does get tiring). Can’t wait for book two!

For a moment there, I couldn’t stop thinking about this book…And then it all fell apart in the end. Great prose. This is not a love story. Do not read this expecting romance. I look forward to the second one!

Let me start by saying that this is a dark academia book with sub plots of vampirism, maybe there will be more of it in book 2. BUT I was intrigued.

The plot of the story has me on the edge the whole book because I was constantly trying to figure out who had her sister… I did not see that ending coming.

The chemistry between the leads has me on my KNEES. The loathing but mixed with the yearning? the consistent uping each other with betrayal and games.
