I enjoyed this, good. Really liked the twist at almost end. Kept me entertained. Took away a star after last chapter, very ending was terrible!

dark mysterious tense

Prompt 46: Read in a " ber" month.

I read this book in September month.

This is a book to go in blind which is what I did, and I was gripped from the beginning.

The book starts with Caroline waking up alone on a cruise ship.

This book is dark, scary, and thrilling, and the short chapters keep you hooked and wanting more. The isolated ship, especially with the ominous do not open box that is found, the hints of a haunting and ghost ships, the dangers of trying to survive, was such a perfect thriller setting for a book. I was hooked.

OK CHAOS!

Something you should know about me, I LOVE books taking place on cruise ships (this is only my second but I'm committing to that fact!) I think it's such an alien concept to me as I've never been on one. Added with the isolation of being in the middle of the ocean, it just scares the shit out of me!

Imagine how scared our girl Caz is when she wakes up completely ALONE on a cruise ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

This is one of those thrillers where I really can't say anything about anything without giving something away - so I'll keep it brief.

I wasn't obsessed with the 'twist' and the overall direction the story went but I also couldn't stop reading and think it was an interesting commentary on the thing that I can't mention because I would spoil the book.

The ending. THE ENDING! I saw it coming about 2 pages before and it truly made me piss - to be fair, I don't think there could have been another ending, so I did find it perfect.

Overall, I liked this a lot and it made me smile (even though it was pretty twisted). I'm excited to read some of Will Dean's other books, he's a great author.
