I really wanted to love it. I adored Divine Rivals but this book is different. It’s written beautifully but I struggled to read it. It was slow and took a while to get to anything. The magic system and the whole idea is really great and interesting but I felt it needed more interaction between characters vs the world building/internal thoughts.

I wish I could give this book a million stars. It was so beautifully written, and I cannot recommend this book enough, wow!!!
