While the plot was interesting I went thru the whole book hating Cory. In fact I'm disappointed he didn't suffer more. I just didn't feel any character development or redemption from him.
For me the chemistry was lacking in the beginning but it picked up towards the end. Solid
I absolutely loved this from the very beginning. I didn't go into this with high hopes, and I also knew very little about it when I started reading it, which made me enjoy it even more. Both Spencer and Cory were very likable to me, even if they did seem a bit stereotypical. Bet You felt very similar to Saxon James' Frat Wars series, a series that I found this year and loved every moment of. So far, this is definitely my favorite book in the Franklin U series, and I'm excited to see what the rest of the series holds!
2.5 stars
i seriously need to lower my expectations because i can’t do this anymore.
i usually love neve’s books but this series is nothing but a surprise so of course i didn’t like this.
the main problem is that this is so boring.
i can’t even articulate this more because it was just boring in its entirety. boring characters, boring plot, boring, boring, boring.
then i would like to complain about the voyeurism thing: i know that it’s wrong because there actually wasn’t consent but this isn’t reality and it was hot. so at that point i was like “okay this is incredibly boring but at least i’ll be here for some hot times”. yeah, no.
i really don’t understand why they marketed this with voyeurism when it happens like 3 times at the begging and then we forget about it.
neve’s books are usually way hotter than this.
i did like the last 15% a bit more but it’s just not enough to give this 3 stars.
now it’s time for my rant about the MCs:
-what is spencer’s problem and has he heard of therapy? he has a cactus stuck in his ass without a reason.
-does cory know that you can find a hobby to pass time instead of going around and harass people? seriously dude it’s embarrassing.
