I always thought the dynamic here was weird. Why is the father competitive about the love between them? And why don't the rabbits have names? Always seemed like it was written more for caregivers than their children, and yet I know caregivers are only reading it to their children. Weird overall.

He tells Big Nutbrown Hare just how much he loves him, but whether it’s as big as his arms can stretch or to the tips of his toes, Big Nutbrown Hare always measures up a little more love. A touching depiction of love between parents and children. The rabbit illustrations are soft and lovely, very inviting and calming. A nice addition to a nursery bookshelf.
