I’ve finally got to reading this book and I absolutely loved it. I’ve missed Quincey and Rainie so much. I hope that there will be more and we may get to see Kimberly again too.

I have no problem giving this book a simple OK review. It was OK. Not excellent, not full of anticipation or fear or excitement. Just enough of a twist to make it not dull.

The best part for me was that it was in a fictional Oregon town, Bakersfield. I tried to figure out just how accurate the author's view of the Oregon city was and which city it really was. (I vote Tillamook) Nothing quite as awesome as seeing your quiet little community make it into a mass produced novel. And accurately.

To start, this is the 7th in a series and I started this series with this book, so I don't know the history of Quincy and Rainie, but as far as I know, this was a fine way to start. I was clueless about their history throughout the read, but I did know I was jumping into this series midway and as most detective thriller series you can jump in and out because the who dun it is self contained, but the reader could miss some backstory of the detectives that won't affect the who dun it but affects the story.

For a book about an active sh00ter that takes place over the course of one day, this was not fast-paced at all . Way too long, and too many POVs - with some told in 3rd person and some in 1st person like why? Also, why the fuck is a 13 year old an active participant in an FBI level investigation??

This book made me keep reading I didn't want to put it down.

Wow! Loved this - I couldn't put it down. Great plot, great characters, great suspense.

Pretty good read, great characters and plot that had me wanting to keep going.

I just started in the middle of this series, and I think I found I want to go back the beginning!

This might be part of a series, but this book certainly holds up on its own. Having never read the previous 6 books in the series, I️ still loved the characters immensely and followed the plot without issue. Plus, talk about a page turner! Definitely one I️ did not want to end, either.

A great page-turner but the ending was a little disappointing when the author suddenly introduced a new character who hadn't appeared in the rest of the story. A shame because the rest was good.

I really enjoyed this! I was expecting something much darker and scarier (not that this wasn’t a bit dark & scary), so I really enjoyed the positive ness of it.
