This book was a bit far fetched and at the same time was too technical for me. It was predictable and the back cover gave at least half of the book away! I still enjoyed reading the last 1/4 of the book. It really picked up and despite my issues believing in the plot, I wanted to know what happened. A decent mystery thriller. I might go back and check out some of her earlier work.

Rett bak deg av Lisa Gardner er uten tvil den mest spennende boken jeg har lest på lang tid. Anbefales. Min anmeldelse fins her: https://mineboker.wordpress.com/2017/11/07/rett-bak-deg-lisa-gardner/

I am finally all caught up in the FBI Profiler/Quincy and Rainie Series and I am so glad that I didn't end up on a cliff hanger with the last book. A couple books prior to this one left my "friends" in a precarious place and while there was plenty of action, drama and mystery in this book I felt like we were back in a good place with our favorite characters. I love the inclusion of the new characters and especially Luka, so many well researched tidbits were added to the plot! Can't wait for the next one!
dark emotional mysterious tense medium-paced

Lisa Gardner is at it again with her upcoming novel Right Behind You. I could easily write this review with a simple 'I love it' and 'Read it!" but I'm sure you want more.

Right Behind You follows the story of multiple people, but centers on Quincy and Rainie, long time characters in some of Gardner's books. Quincy and Rainie are assisting in an investigation of a 17 year-old boy who has been said to be on a mass murder spree in a fit of rage. But is he? This novel has so many twists and turns to keep you guessing! I love Lisa Gardner because she always keeps me on my toes. I have never been able to guess the outcome of her books until the very end. Right Behind You was no different. Along with getting to spend some quality, stressful time with fan favorites Quincy and Rainie, but we also get to know other supporting characters much better, including their soon-to-be adopted daughter Sharlah who turns out to have a little more at stake in this story than originally thought.

I love how Quincy and Rainie are these great parents and profilers, but also have so many flaws and parts of them they are constantly working on to be better. It shows a truth to the world that everyone has problems and struggles. That was a huge part of this novel, getting to see those struggles come to light and how they cope with them. Kept the book flowing in between the high suspense man hunt moment. Gardner's characters are always well developed and each time you read a new book you learn a little more about them. Not only are the characters fun to read, but the story is unique. Gardner is always coming up with insane stories that are terrifyingly possible in real life, which makes them more engulfing. Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down.

I've said it multiple times, but Lisa Gardner is hands down one of the best Mystery/Thrill writers in the world. As my favorite genre of book, I've read a lot and she wins out every single time. Pick this book up and kick of 2017 right with a great read! Right Behind You will leave you itching for more and dying to know who did it. Five out of five stars well deserved.

Oh my goodness this book drew me in from the very start. It was so good. It was thrilling and twisty.

When Sharla and Telly were young, Telly beat his father to death with a baseball bat to save them. Eight years later, Telly and Sharla have both been placed in separate foster homes and don’t have any contact with one another. Sharla is on the brink of being adopted by former FBI profilers Quincy and Rainie, who want nothing more to protect her when they find out that Telly is responsible for a killing spree not far from their house. Quincy, Ranie, and Sharla work to figure out why Telly would wait eight years to become violent again and what exactly his endgame is. While some of the “twists” are perfectly expected, there are several that are surprising.

I'm a Lisa Gardner fan and have read everything she has published. I'm one of those who pre-orders the day it's available, and count the days until it's out. Add to that the fact that Quincy and Rainey are my favorite of her series. I enjoyed the story. The plotting was good, however, I tired of so many points of view. Would've preferred 2-3 but I quit counting at 7 in this book. Since Quincy and Rainey are the protagonists, and they are the stars, I wanted to take this ride more in their heads. I enjoyed the story, but felt a little shortchanged in this regard.

Not one of the best in her collection but still a good one for a beach read. Need to go back and read the beginning of the Quincy Rainey series, but still a good read without reading the books in order.

It's been been years since the last book featuring Pierce Quincy and Rainie Conner, which is fair. After all this family has been through, it was kind of author Lisa Gardner to let them have a respite. In RIGHT BEHIND YOU, Quincy and Rainie are close to finalizing the adoption of their foster daughter Sharlah when they are called to consult on a case involving the shooting of two in a gas station. In short order, it turns out the prime suspect in these shootings is Sharlah's brother, Telly Ray Nash, who she hasn't seen since he killed their parents in self-defense years earlier. Told from the perspectives of Rainie, Quincy, Sharlah, and Telly, this book is not only excellent as a crime novel/thriller, but it also is an opportunity to see how Quincy and Rainie have grown as people and as a family while they've been away. This book will please fans of the series and of Lisa Gardner's other books.
