I enjoyed this book quite a bit. I felt like there was just a BIT too much filler and could have done without some sections but overall very good story!
This was a good story. I liked the book. I wish I could give half stars. I say its 3.5 stars. There were parts where the book just didn't keep me on edge enough that I would go a day or two with having that pull to read. But I enjoyed the story. I like how it unraveled and there were pieces I didn't see coming.
The ending is good however I wish it took it one more step and really closed out the story. But I guess we will know more once the next book in the series is written and that is why we keep coming back.
I recommend this book, even if you haven't read the other Quincy & Rainie books. I think you would like this one without having to know the whole back story.

I did appreciate the brother and sister bond that was throughout the book. Other than that it was a decent mystery that had my heart pounding in a few places.
Ok, let me just say this is the series that first got me reading Lisa's books and i sure hope she has tremendous feedback with this book to keep bringing these characters back!! What a great book, knew it would be, Quincy and Rainie are such great characters, and now we throw in some new characters in the two new characters, no spoilers here, and it makes it a very solid five star book for me. Lisa showed multiple points of view here, and really pulled it off, each POV was well thought out and really worked together very well. Plot was incredible, didnt see it coming until it acually did, loved everything about this one. Keep this series going Lisa!!! it is by far your best work.
Right Behind You
I'm a huge fan of Lisa Gardner, and Right Behind You did not disappoint. The twists and turns in this story kept me guessing right up until the end. I especially liked how the chapters were by or about different characters. I hope we don't have to wait so long for another Quincy and Rainie story.

3.5 Almost a 4, but a bit too much repetition throughout the book

Quincy and Rainie are back, preparing to adopt their foster child, Sharlah. Plot line refers to Sharlah's abusive past, the love of her brother, and learning to trust. Sharlah plays a key role in this novel - not so much police procedural, as family devotion, miscommunication, and new beginnings, without being sappy. Great characters, interesting plot with a few surprises thrown in - another winner by Gardner.
