This book was fine. I appreciate the fmc’s journey to self discovery and the setting was beautiful. Was personally put off by themes of infidelity.

I hated the first two chapters. The dialogue and inner monologue was melodramatic and unnecessary, and the narrator felt younger than her 30 years. But, once I got into the plot with more discoveries about Carol, the mom, and Katy, the daughter, and the complexities of being human, it was a refreshing and quick read.

I would have loved this more if the main character was a tiny bit more likeable. And I really didn't like the addition of Adam to the story

3.5 stars - fun premise, the description of the Italian setting, food, and people were beautiful. Lots of sad parts.

A really, really great story written really, really badly.
(And narrated really, really badly...)
