A bookstagrammer asked me today for recommendations of light-hearted Rom-Coms. The irony is that I was in the midst of reading this book, which TORE MY BESTING HEART FROM MY CHEST, DESTROYED IT, then HEALED IT and SHOVED IT BACK.

This is my first read by K. Bromburg and I'm pretty sure I am both obsessed with and slightly scared of her. She's going into my SO MANY FEELS list next to Brittney C. Cherry and Mia Sheridan.

HARD TO LOSE is an absolutely fantastic book. Well written, a complex female lead, great side characters, hotter than sin, melt your heart AND your panties.

Chase is a fantastic female character. She's driven, determined, a very hard worker, if a bit self-involved at the beginning of the book. Gunner reads as a bit too-good-to-be-true (for which I took off 1/2 star from my rating). He is just overly perfect in every way, with no flaws, until the very end of book in response to the book's central conflict.

These two have sizzling hot chemistry paired with equal sweetness. I am ALWAYS here for Hot Kitchen Counter Sex and these two deeee-lllliiiiii-vvverrrr! You will instantly be rooting for their HEA even while you know exactly where their conflict will lie.

This is an emotionally heavy read, but also a great one!

RATING:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
STEAM LEVEL: Rated R
TRIGGERS: Past Domestic abuse, death of parent, military death, military injuries, PTSD.
FEELS-O-METER: 5/5 *Heartbreaking and beautiful.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

How can a white lie turn something that started with the best of intentions into an epic disaster? And, can you forgive someone for deceiving you? This is the essence of Chase and Gunner's story.

Get ready for an emotional story. Gunner's backstory will break your heart. How he's moved on from it will uplift and warm your heart. It is quickly apparent why Chase is so captivated by Gunner and everything about his situation. This amazing, sweet, sexy, selfless man isn't easily forgotten.

For Chase and Gunner, their two broken halves make an incredible whole. They connect over their loss of a parent at an early age, and they understand each other. They fall quickly, and realistically, into lust and then love. Gunner sees the emotional scars that Chase hides from everyone, including her family, and he instinctively knows how to help her heal them. Chase is the only person that Gunner has shown both his physical and emotional scars. They just work and bring out the best in each other. I loved that their story unfolds with angst and drama only where appropriate so that you can simply enjoy the two falling in love unexpectedly, living with no regrets.

The double epilogues are a wonderful and fitting ending to the Kincade sisters' portion of the series! Note, their nemesis Finn is up next to close out the series.

Chase and Gunner's story is special, heartwarming, romantic, and definitely one not to be missed!

I received an early copy of this book. This voluntary review contains my honest, unbiased opinion.

Yet another amazing 5 star read from Kristy Bromberg. It's no wonder that she's my favourite author. Every book is just outstanding quality.

It's not everyday that a letter changes the rest of your life. For Chase Kincade, a sports agent in her family's company, the letter that took five years to get to her father was something that she couldn't forget. Ryan Camden wrote to her dad to thank him for wanting to take a chance on him by wanting to sign him to a Major League Baseball team. She decides that she needs to find Ryan, not only for the media exposure they'll get but because she getting it five years after it was sent is some sort of sign.

Both of these characters have many scars. For Gunner, they're both visible and invisible. For Chase, they're invisible. Being with each other has healed some of those scars and built a level of trust that neither one has had with anyone else. But even though Chase has been more open and candid with Gunner than she ever has, there's still a level of deception. The hurt and pain that ensues its revelation are tough overcome, but forgiveness is the ultimate salvation for both of them. The metamorphosis that Gunner goes through, especially in his how his bars are named is remarkable. They have both hit the jackpot!

I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

I loved loved loved this book!!! This has been my favorite in this series so far! This book will have you feeling all the feels! I absolutely loved Gunner! He was perfect for Chase. This book captured my attention right away! There was no long drawn out unnecessary drama. I hope Nix gets a book! I will also be happy to see if Finn can redeem himself! I’m super excited for that book! The books in this series are true standalones. However this series is soooo good I recommend them all!!

Received a arc for a honest review.

Gunner has absolutely solidified himself as my favorite Kristy hero and he is without question a hero. Gosh I have a such soft spot for soldiers & ball players…and Gunner checks both those boxes plus he is sweet, sexy, funny, compassionate, he gives himself freely to help military kids who have lost a parent. Oh my goodness is there anything that he can’t do? I love how genuine he is with Chase & how he lets himself fall for her. Most importantly how he goes after what he wants. NO REGRETS—no truer words to live by.

I’m so happy that Chase has found her peace in Gunner. Their story may have started with a white lie but there’s no denying that they are each others soulmate.

YASS! I looove our Easton Wyler Easter egg

K. Bromberg has written another emotional, passionate, and gripping story. I loved everything about Chase and Gunner's story. This is book 4 in the Play Hard series, and it had me hooked from the start.

I liked that Bromberg once again takes us into the world of Kincaide Sports Management! The Kincaide sisters journeys to find love have each been epic and heartwarming. Chase's story is no different. Being the youngest Kincaide sister, I love that she is strong willed, but knows when she needs advice from her sisters and her dad. She tends to run when things get tough, especially after her mom died. However, she is always up for new challenges, and the mission to find Ryan Camden a War Veteran/ ex Baseball player is her new mission. Gunner's character is full of surprises, and it certainly hard not to instantly fall in love with his passion for his community center and his bar. I loved his passionate and caring personality. Also, though he is haunted by his traumatizing past. When Chase and Gunner meet there is an instant chemistry that is off the charts hot!

Overall, I loved this book! I adore how K. Bromberg creates a world where the females can be strong, outgoing sports agents. I also love how the sisters in this story lean on each other for support and really show the importance of family. Plus, their dad always gives excellent advice even if they don't always want to hear it. I'm looking forward to reading more K. Bromberg!

Hard to Lose delivers all the heat, swoon, and joy that Bromberg has delivered throughout this series! Chase and Gunnar were easy to love for sure!

Now, I'm going to start with my issue because the book starts with it too! Both of them are not honest. So, I can already tell that the drama that will inevitably come later is all because they lied. I really hate that. However, I adore this series, so I just prepared myself and continued reading.

I really liked Chase and Gunnar. Gunnar is very sweet and I really liked him with Chase. I am trash for heroes who are 100% head over heels with the heroine. It's just so swoony. Chase is a great heroine as well and while I didn't like the dishonestly, I got why she had to do it. None of her lies were huge, life altering things, but knowing how Gunnar feels about liars, I could see the bomb explosion coming quick.

Regardless of the oncoming drama and angst, Hard to Lose is so worth the pain! Gunnar and Chase will enchant you and this book will win your heart!

I wasn't able to put this book down! Hard to Lose is by far my favorite in the Play Hard series and this one was a home run in my book. Every moment of this journey was worth the heartache and tears shed. Watching Chase and Gunner each grow in their own way, while fighting for what truly makes them happy, is what every reader only dreams about. Definitely a book you don't want to miss out on!
