I was looking forward to reading the last book of the Kinkade sisters. The story started with Chase looking for Gunner. The story had the potential be really good. I just could not wrap my mind around this extremely organized, focused sports agent who did not one google search for this hidden person and then just carried on this farce. I thought all that would be redeemed by their father going to see Gunnar at the end to speak up for his daughter and to be the father figure Gunnar lacked and tell him that he was good enough. I was expecting more than what I read in this book.
that being said, i am glad Chase got her happily ever after.

Chase and Ryan..

A letter, written five years ago,by a young man forced to leave his dreams behind and face life in the service, lost in the mail all this time, finds its way into Chase Kincaid hands. Something compels her to find him, the need to know what happened to him, who he really is drives her to search.

She finds him in a town called Destiny Falls, but doesn’t realize it’s him, as his name is different. The attraction is instant, and mutual. In true K Bromberg style, this book is an un-put-downable story of two lives, very different people, who come from very different worlds. Sometimes, those people can make it work, sometimes they can’t. Chase and Gunnar (Ryan) have an amazing story. Be prepared

Gunner is awesome!!

Oh my goodness!! Gunner might be my new favorite book boyfriend!! I come from a military family, so I love a book that pays homage to our veterans, especially the wounded warriors! This book has all the feels—so many emotions, love, lust, witty banter, angst, laughter, great supporting characters, and more! I was happy to see that Finn is getting a book, but now I really want Nix’s story! Kristy really knows how to suck the reader into the world she creates, and she makes every character feel significant! What a phenomenal series!

Some bits were good… but wow, Chase’s denial and decisions were just dumb. Of course, I’ve never made any bad decisions

Hard to Lose just may be my favorite book in K. Bromberg’s Play Hard series, and it is in large part due to the male lead who is guaranteed to win your heart.

What starts out as Chase determined to find ways to promote her family’s fledgling sports management firm, quickly evolves into a very emotional and engaging story involving a military veteran.

Gunner is a war hero and former pro-baseball hopeful who now devotes his life to serving military families affected by loss. Could the man be more selfless, supportive, and all-around perfect? Apparently, the answer is no. No, he could not.

I absolutely loved Chase and Gunner as a couple. The unique dates, passionate kisses, frank talks, and funny exchanges they share warmed my heart. Gunner’s life story has all the feels. As he lowers his guard more and more to let Chase in, my anxiety regarding her deception increased.

Short chapters make Hard to Lose a quick read yet still a very satisfying love story.

Hard to Lose, the fourth book in the fantastic Play Hard series, may be the best book in the series to date. Chase and Gunner’s story definitely pulled on my heartstrings and made me feel all the things. K. Bromberg does a great job mixing her flawless storytelling with undeniable character chemistry and emotionally charged and tender moments. I am just so in love with this book

When a long lost letter from a former baseball player turned military vet lands on her desk, Chase Kincade decides to use this opportunity to find him and stir up some good publicity for her company. When she lands in Destiny Falls, she’s charmed by an oh so delicious bartender. Unbeknownst to her, he’s just the man she’s looking for.

Chase has my favorite character arc of all her sisters. The youngest Kincade is a career driven, goal-oriented and competitive sports agent at Kincade Sports Management. When it comes to matters of the heart. She wants no part of the life her sisters found with their significant others. Her views of love and marriage did come off a little cold. However, as the story continues and the connection with Gunner grows you see her walls come down and a less wound Chase comes out. I really enjoyed seeing her let her guard down.

I don’t think it's possible to love Gunner any more than I do right this second. He is everything you want in a hero. Swoony, caring, devoted and a little broken. He lost so much - family, friends, and his dream - and he carries a world of guilt. Still, he's determined to live life to the fullest. I fall for a Bromberg hero fairly easily, but I have never loved one of her heroes this deeply. His giant beautiful heart is wildly attractive. Every scene with the kids of fallen soldiers melted me. My heart felt like it was going to explode with all his sincerity and genuine care.

I absolutely love the relationship between Chase and Gunner. Absolutely perfect together. They understood one another. From the first interaction, you just knew they were meant to be. It hurt my heart just as much as it hurt theirs when lies told affected their strong bond.

Book by book, K. Bromberg continues to impress with this incredible series and Hard to Lose is no different. I highly recommend picking up this beautiful, emotional journey especially if you're a fan of small town, military and/or sports romance.

When a letter from a soldier falls into Chase Kincaid's hands she immediately feels a connection. A connection so strong she needs to find this man and bring some of what he lost back to him in one way or another. But in order to find the once aspiring baseball player, she needs to travel to a small military town under false pretenses in order to locate him. Sparks immediately fly between Chase and the bartender at the local bar. Thinking he will help her locate the pitcher she continues to fabricate the reason she is there. But when the lost soul ends up being right in front of her will the lies she has already established come back and bite her? Will Gunner give her the time of day once he realizes the truth? With a instant need for all involved to get their HEA's this was one of those books you could not put down. K. Bromberg once again captivates her readers and holds tight to their heartstrings. Best book in the series yet!!

This was a really good read! The writing flowed well from start to finish, and I loved Chase and Gunner together. Even though Chase started out with less than honorable intentions, I think she did grow and learn along the way. Gunner was great guy, even though he was really hard on himself. I can't imagine living with that kind of guilt everyday. Being able to talk to each other about everything, and understanding each other, made them a great couple. The scene with them dancing in the rain was perfect! I knew that eventually everything was going to come to light, but it was still sad to have Chase and Gunner go through it. I was so happy to see them make their way back to each other, and the ending was amazing! Great ending to the series!
