I am actually between 2 and 3 stars for Hard to Lose. At the end, I decided I do not hate this book nor like it. So I put it under 3 stars.

The story is boring and min angst. The plot is boring and flat. The story is still OK to enjoy. But nothing more. The relationship between Chase and Gunner is also flat. I keep wanting something more. More drama, more angst, more steam. This book is from Miss Bromberg after all.

Well, like I said Hard to Lose is OK read. Have a lot of potential but not well developed.

What I enjoyed most was the aspect of learning a bit more about military life. How it affects the spouses, kids and those who serve. Especially the ones who make it back.

It's okay.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
Best to read the series in order.
HEA.
Epilogue.

This is the fourth book of the series and loved it like the previous ones, but this one has something else to make me like it more. Chase and Gunner, are two different characters, with different point of views, yet they have things in common that truly works for them. There are secrets and intriguing things that will have you reading non-stop. Their chemistry like all of K Bromberg's books is off the charts. The story plotline was amazing, I went in blind and was surprised with it all. Chase was one of the characters whose story I really wanted to read, she was the most mysterious of them all, and Gunner was a swoony book boyfriend. I would recommend the whole series, the audiobooks are fantastic so if you like hearing the stories go for them.

I loved loved loved this book!!! This has been my favorite in this series so far! This book will have you feeling all the feels! I absolutely loved Gunner! He was perfect for Chase. This book captured my attention right away! There was no long drawn out unnecessary drama. I hope Nix gets a book! I will also be happy to see if Finn can redeem himself! I’m super excited for that book! The books in this series are true standalones. However this series is soooo good I recommend them all!!

Received a arc for a honest review.

Gunner has absolutely solidified himself as my favorite Kristy hero and he is without question a hero. Gosh I have a such soft spot for soldiers & ball players…and Gunner checks both those boxes plus he is sweet, sexy, funny, compassionate, he gives himself freely to help military kids who have lost a parent. Oh my goodness is there anything that he can’t do? I love how genuine he is with Chase & how he lets himself fall for her. Most importantly how he goes after what he wants. NO REGRETS—no truer words to live by.

I’m so happy that Chase has found her peace in Gunner. Their story may have started with a white lie but there’s no denying that they are each others soulmate.

YASS! I looove our Easton Wyler Easter egg

When a 5-year-old letter from a military vet drops on Chase Kincade's desk, thanking them for their interesting but declining the offer for representation as he "no longer can pursue his dreams of being a baseball player", she's very intrigued. Finding him out and signing him now would be amazing press for KSM. So, she packs up and goes to Destiny Falls, where he apparently is living. When she gets there, she heads to local bar for a drink: the best place to get any intel in any small town. The bar is packed with veterans, including the gorgeous bartender, so she lies about who she is because she just knows they'll be protective of one of their own.
When Gunner Camden sees Chase, he's immediately smitten: she's beautiful, funny, confident and she reminds him that there is a life to be lived. So he pursues her. And they click. But there is one thing Gunner can't accept - dishonesty - and their whole relationship has been based on a lie.
I devoured this one! It's the weirdest "sports romance", as sports are not at all in the center of this and I loved it! I was into Gunner's story and I wanted only good things for him.    We keep on the edge of our seats because we know things that they don't know and we don't want them to get hurt, but it's inevitable.
I was very annoyed at Chase because she had a billion opportunities to come clean and I was "Girl, c'mon! Tell him!!!" but, of course, it all works out in the end.
Loved this story - the last of the sisters' stories. Let's see how KB will make me change my mind about Finn, whom I have h@ted since book 1!
Narration: Savannah Peachwood as Chase and Gunner has the dreamy voice of Jason Clarke.
Possible triggers: mentions of death of parent, domestic abuse, PTSD, mentions of deaths in military missions
