This was a cute, wacky read. I enjoyed how weird every element of the story seemed to be... from the kilt-wearing spoon to the frog's tongue / transportation device. It was so childish and refreshing and quirky.

Excellent premise, however, I didn’t like any of the characters much (except for the actual skeleton in the closet) and the world building felt too rushed and incomplete. This is a series so perhaps it improves as the story goes along. I will definitely be picking up the second book in the series soon.
