An enjoyable memoir and a touching tribute to a best friend. You fall in love with Tony, which you can only imagine is Waterland’s wish with this read. The book is honest and confronting touching upon all the “taboo” subjects (insert: abortion, consent, substance abuse, etc), but Waterland’s voice is familiar and heartwarming.

I pre-ordered this book, and was super excited when it arrived, along with Rosie's signature and a cheeky lil' drawing.
I flew through 'Every Lie I've Ever Told', which indicates that it was an easy read. It entertaining, funny, brutally honest, heartbreaking and crude. Readers, prepare yourself for lots of content about poo and spew, as well as getting to know Rosie Waterland intimately. Very intimately.
While the chapters are linked together by a hospital bed, a poo curtain and a song no-one knows the words to, they seem to fly all over the place. Should it have just been about her best friend and the events that led up to her hospital stay? Maybe.
Rosie Waterland's second offering may not have delivered the same quality as her first, however it's still pretty damn good. I can't wait to see her on stage next month.

Rosie Waterland has been skating around my field of vision for awhile now... My friends keep recommending books, podcasts, reviews by this mysterious Rosie Waterland and I have been stubbornly avoiding them. Finally - A friend gave me a stack of books with a stickynote on one... "This one I want back!"
And... I get it! Every Lie I've Ever Told is the first book in a long time that has made me cry as well as laugh out loud (in public!!!) This book recounts a number of Rosie's most private, heart wrenching but also hilarious moments.

Rosie's style is casual, painfully honest, clever and hilarious. I loved this book and I can't wait to see what she does next.

Now excuse me... I have some podcasts and a book to explore.

This one kept me company (and made me cry) on my flight from Washington to LA. Waterland leaves nothing unsaid.... nothing! It’s kind of heart wrenching.

Again, it feels wrong to rate a memoir but this book felt like Rosie talking to me. It’s cliche, but I laughed and I cried and I felt overwhelmed by the experience of grief and loss but immensely filled with joy and love.

I found this heartbreakingly sad. I cried and books don’t make me cry. I also found it uplifting as a feminist to see how that underpins so much of her life and writings.

I had to give this 4 stars because of the number of times I found myself laughing. A touching tribute to a dear friend edited well.
