When I saw this making the rounds, I was like ugh, I'm probably not going to be into it. But I wanted to believe, so I read it but was like ugh, I'm just not into it. Building out my middle grade fiction reads is one of my priorities this year so check!

This book is amazing. I really liked it, I wish there would be a series, that would be talking about new adventures with him and inform us what happens to him after you-know-what.

This isn't what I expected! I do this thing where I see a book I might like, study the reviews, get excited about it, add it to my to-read shelf, and then forget about it. But I remember the cover and that I was excited about it! So then when I come across a book that I recall I wanted to read, I trust myself that it's going to be something I was looking forward to. So I sort of go into a book blind. But full of hopes.

I thought this would be a fun, breezy book about a fantastical circus. And it is, but that's not the main part. It's much more serious and substantial than that, and it takes a second to even understand where it's all going. What's up with the sick grandpa and his mysterious letter to a mysterious man? Why is his sister such an unbearable assbucket? How will his grandson come out remotely ok on the other end? Does he have friends and can he finish important school projects? And where is it all going?

It's a knot of a story, an elegant and cool-looking one. I liked it a lot, and I'm glad I didn't remember even the synopsis. Go blind into this one, you will witness some beautiful miracles!

While I didn't utterly and completely love this, it was a lovely story with some wonderful bits of wisdom and love in there as well.

The beginning was slow and rather unimpressive, but the ending was so sweet it made up for it. I'm rather unimpressed by Aunt Gertrudis, however. I mean, come on! She was a lovely seven-year old, and now she's the grumpy mean aunt who won't change her opinion for anything.

This was a very sweet book. That honestly I would be happy to read a sequel to. Not because it left me with questions but just because I can see so much potential for future stories of Micah and Circus Mirandus. I’m only giving it 3 stars because it didn’t excite me much.

Fans of Harry Potter will also enjoy Circus Mirandus!

This book was so good. Great for that Middle Grade coming of age person!

Micha has been living with his Grandpa Ephraim since he was 4 years old due to the death of his parents. His grandpa has been telling him stories of this wonderful Circus. Charming and well written, Micha is thrust into this world trying to find a miracle that was promised to his grandpa when he was a young boy.

A friend passed me an ARC and I devoured this in a day. Circus Mirandus will be a classic for the ages. Funny, inventive, heart-breaking, surprising -- beautifully written and perfect for middle schoolers a little young for Harry Potter. Beasley has a sure hand and populates her world with characters you won't forget. I think adults will enjoy reading this gem to kids, if you can pry it out of their hands.
