This was one of the sweetest stories. I appreciated the exploration of anxiety, trying to heal, being vulnerable without fear and learning to accept that you are worthy of love. I can easily say Matt is a book bae for worthy of all the medals 😍☺️

Definitely looking forward to reading more from this author ☺️

Author Hannah Bonam-Young has a great way with fictional people!
Just finished Next To You, the novel after Next Of Kin that intertwines some characters but also stands alone.
The story of Lane and Matt charmed me just as much as that of Chloe and Warren. The building of relationships and emotion among realistically flawed characters, just pulls a reader in. Some steamy spice doesn't hurt either.
Lane's character experiencing the long-supressed feelings of guilt related to the loss of her father adds depth. (No tears here. Nope!)
 Recommended!

I love Bonam-Young's writing. She creates these characters who are so real and flawed but so loveable. I appreciate that she gives the characters time for their love and growth but she keeps the text moving. The time jumps keep me wanting more but I don't feel like I miss anything.
Matt and Lane are so cute together! I love their love, care, and commitment for each other. I love the representation of finding a healthy way to balance being a person who needs a bit more care with a person who gives all of themselves and both finding ways to best care for each other as partners.
I love the example of healthy communication in the midst of angst.
Just really well written and lovely characters. I will be waiting for the next book in the series!
