Still think about this one from time to time, so I guess there's that.
There were several instances where I knew the "answer to the clues" while she was still figuring them out, however, despite that, I still really enjoyed this book. I liked the insight into Amish life and the suspense of a court case wrapped together.
Interesting insight into Amish life and beliefs- hopefully much more true to life than the courtroom action.
Surprising at the end. Didn’t like Elle very much - her attitude toward Katie was terrible half the time as was her attitude in general. Unbelievable that she did not understand what Katie was saying in her testimony. But then the author only wrote it that way so that it would seem more dramatic.
Didn’t like the ghost aspect of the story which was only there to bring Katie and Adam together, but seemed hokey throughout.

I was not expecting this to be such a page turner, but I read almost the whole book in one sitting! It is about an Amish woman who has a baby, but cannot remember the events leading up to its death. Her lawyer manages to put the story together, but the end has an unexpected twist.
As I was reading this book it seemed somewhat familiar...I finally checked and it was a Lifetime movie in 2004.

I'm so torn on books like these. On the one hand they are not well written pieces of fiction. Nonetheless, they are wildly entertaining and I often find them wonderful page turners. This book is like that. Although it won't get confused for a quality read, its a book I found myself reading every spare minute I had a chance. That made it fun. If you are just looking to be entertained, and nothing more, this is a good one.

My first Jodi Picoult book, it was very easy to read and felt very real. However I would say it is neither a ‘psychological drama’ nor a ‘courtroom suspense’, more a book about people and their daily lives
Im loving this book right now. Rather read than sleep!
I enjoyed this book by Picoult. I wasn't too thrilled with My Sister's Keeper, but you can't judge all books the same based on their author.
