Although I found the ending of this book predictable I really enjoyed it. Picoult deals with quite a few issues in this novel trust, teenage pregnancy, family values and cultural divides and I think she handled them excellently, allowing the reader to enjoy the story but also see the deeper meaning. At times the legal aspects could drag a little but they were usually short so my interest was maintained. Overall a nice, easy read that was able to capture and maintain my interest.
It was good. Kind of predictable at the end. But still a good, easy read.
A really long book that took me awhile to get through because the summer ended. I enjoyed the story, I liked the characters, and despite my lack of time to read, I always looked forward to picking up this book and getting back into the world of Katie and the Amish.

This isn’t a book I’d normally lean towards but I was recommended it by a friend and I’m glad I was. I really didn’t expect the twist or even for it to have a twist but it was executed very well!
Would definitely recommend!

In the back of this book, there’s an interview w the author and she’s asked the question - who are your readers? And she says her readers are people who have a thirst; they like learning and they don’t like to read the same book twice. They turn themselves over to her, knowing she’s going to take them on an adventure.
Yep. That checks out.
