I love Jodis writing style. I did predict the ending of this story, but absolutely loved the entire thing!
Just above average for me. I enjoyed the courtroom drama and the scenes with the Amish. However I was a bit disappointed with the twist, although I didn't guess it exactly I thought something similar would happen. And what was the point of the ghosts exactly, they didn't add anything to the plot?
I liked this story of an Amish farm girl and how her indiscretion led her to a chain of life changing events. Jodi always develops good characters and keeps you guessing. I'm not sure how many facts about Amish life were true (I'm certainly no expert it was probably well researched)but it was very interesting and well written.
Plain Truth starts with a girl secretly giving birth in a barn and hoping for God to solve her problem. She falls asleep holding her baby, but when she wakes up it's gone, and that makes her pretty happy. Unfortunately, it is found in the morning, dead and hidden in a pile of clothing. Katie, eighteen years old and found bleeding from her vagina, is the prime suspect in the baby's murder, but she is saying she never even had a baby.

Would probably have been a 4, except I saw the Lifetime movie several years ago.
I'm a sucker for a good Jodi Picoult book, and this is definitely a good read. One that makes you think. Jodi plays around with point of view, which caught my eye a few times, but in the end I think it was helpful to let the reader get a broader picture.
It's also very clear that Jodi does a lot of quality research when writing, which I applaud her for.

As Addictive as only Jodi Picoult can be. As always a display of humanness in its complexity and this time a dive into the World pf the Amish.
For a Jodi Picoult fan, I'm surprised to say I didn't make it past the first 20 pages of this book.
