Pretty good story. I like books that actually surprise me. I hate when I figure out the end. This one had a nice twist.
Jodi is very easy to read.

From the first chapter, this book grabbed at my heart and I wouldn't let me go... but I wouldn't have wanted it to. I didn't want to put the book down. Picoult explores faith, love, and the differences between cultures. The twist at the end was phenominal, and it took my breath away.

This book was okay. It was interesting enough, and had a twist that I didn't expect, but it was delivered in a very anticlimactic way that made it seem like more of an afterthought. I still had fun reading it, even if it left me a lil disappointed in the end. But I guess it's about the journey not the destination, right?

Liked it. Interesting perspective on a different community.

What really drew me about this book was all the details about the Amish. I enjoyed reading about the community and getting a different view. You wonder how much is accurate, but it still stands out in my mind, and distinguishes this book in a good way almost as much as the awful plot did in a bad way.

I read this when it first came out about 9 years ago, but I reread it, as I couldn't remember much about it.
I liekd this book, although I found it to be a bit drawn out and boring in certain sections. I loved reading and learning about the Amish culture. I think this book would be much better if Picoult wasn't constantly trying to throw in "surprises" to keep the readers interested. Overall, it is a good book, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in the Amish culture or neonaticide.

Definitely not Jodi Picoult's best work!

Loved loved loved this book. It was unlike any story that’s ever been told. I did find it a bit repetitive and guessed the ending, but I still enjoyed it so much.
