This book had me audibly saying “wow” as I read the last 2 pages. And I actually had read ahead to learn the ending of the book as I was still reading so that I could pay close attention to foreshadowing (I know that’s just WILD of me) but even knowing how the book ended, it was still so intriguing to go on the journey as it unfolded. The development of the characters was very well thought out and I enjoyed learning so much about the Amish community through this read. Although fictional, apparently the way the community is was very accurately portrayed. Great read. The first third to maybe half of the book started out slower in my opinion but I think it’s also because I was balancing this read with my school work and so I wasn’t able to give it my full attention. The first chapter reveals so much that you wonder what the remaining pages will hold. Would recommend

I really liked this book. I loved the different characters. I hate how the police have to get involved in Amish affairs and how there is the horrible discovery of the dead infant. I don't believe that Katie had too much to do with the killing. I don't believe that Sarah killed the infant. I loved the defense attorney and the law setting that there was in the book. I love how Ellie is so determined to help the Amish women. I felt so bad for Katie when she was accused of killing her baby. Overall this book was pretty good. Not my favorite Jodi Picolt book, but still good. 4 stars.

One of her best. Finished in a few days- kept me wondering what will happen next while learning a little along the way.

This book like many other Jodi Pocoult books was pretty soppy at points but was still interesting enough to keep me reading.

I've never read a book about the Amish before.

A little predictable.

Felt very repetitive, and I feel like it could have been 200 pages shorter. Not one of my favs and kinda happy it's over.

Good but nothing special. Interesting premise, no real surprises.

This is a Picoult I had forgotten I had read, which was really intriguing to dive back into. And the ending she decides to pull in the last three pages THREW me for a loop. Excellent, as always.

Another great page-turner!! Really liked it.
