of course the gay girl moves to austin. you could say it’s inspiring since everyone “finds themselves” but i didn’t find any of them likable.
It built beautifully, then wrapped up too easily and too quickly. Of the 3 main characters 2 were better built than the third. I also just didn't enjoy Lainey as a human, so I wasn't invested in her story line.

Absolutely loved this story so so much but Lainey drove me absolutely insane!! If it weren’t for the other lovable characters I might’ve DNF’d it but I’m really glad I didn’t!

A sweet book about adult friendship. Not a lot to it, but I enjoyed the characters, their conversations, and how the author moved the story forward while bringing in memories. I was reading another book at the same time that had terrible dialogue and even worse pacing, so “The Summer Pact” was a breath of fresh air.
A good beach read but the three characters do not act like they’ve been friends for 14 years. Makes it hard to believe

About halfway through I was wondering why this was considered a romance (from my library) then the relationships came, in my opinion, out of nowhere and I really disliked the second half of the book. I would have preferred the focus to remain on the friendship, rather than the random romances thrown in.
