I was thoroughly underwhelmed with this book. It had its moments, and I enjoyed how fast-paced it was, but it ultimately came across as rushed and unsubstantial. Though I found some of the conflicts believable, others felt contrived, and I was left feeling frustrated. The book as a concept is interesting but it wasn’t executed particularly well. Since it is so short, it may still be worth a read, since it is light-hearted and easy to consume, but I have made my distaste clear.
