I thought this book would be more profound and was slightly disappointed until I sat back and looked at why I read it in the first place. I read it to try and find comfort in grief, and this book provided me with that. The important things aren’t as profound as we would like to think; sometimes they are just sitting and talking about nothing with the one you love. This book reminded me that the little things are the most important, and that those are what you’ll miss when someone you love is gone.
It felt like a comforting conversation . Such kind thoughtful words . I especially enjoyed the conversation about writing the obituary and what NOT to include !

A perfect mix between hearty recipes and advice to cope with grieving for a close one. There's such candid references to the horrific pain that such a loss often brings, but it sets forward proof that you can get through it.

As I get older, I find myself worrying about the big existential questions. It is refreshing that there are books out there that don't shy away from these uncomfortable and sometimes scary topics. This graphic novel dealt with death in a heartbreaking and beautiful way. It reminded me to cherish my relationship with my own mom and to think about what is important to me every day.
