Love The Weave, imaginative. Love that this story features Rory. The rest? Meh. It could have, should have been much better. It doesn't help that Eleven is not among my favorite Doctors, and Amy is one of my least favorite companions. Ah well.

Listened to the version narrated by Arthur Darville who did a good job narrating. Had a fun time, but the story almost just seemed like a repeat/mishmosh of other stories we've already heard. It's a trope, but a fun one.

Great wibbly-wobbly story, if a very abrupt ending.

Couldn't do it.
The tone was ridiculous. It's a no for me.

I really enjoy the [a:Gary Russell|60|Gary Russell|http://www.goodreads.com/images/nophoto/nophoto-M-50x66.jpg] novelizations of Doctor Who & Torchwood. They're some of the best I've read and this one is possibly one of my favorites out of all that I've read. The monsters (both species) were interesting and original. The Weave were a bit confusing at first, especially when they kept going into their ship and then coming out or absorbing something into their body. But I like how the suspense of the monster was saved until the middle of the book when you found out exactly what they were. It was an interesting story and I really liked how there was actually more focus on Rory & The Doctors relationship rather than Amy & The Doctors. Plus we find out how much Amy loves Rory in this (which is great since this takes place right before they're tragically torn apart for the time being.) I did get a little confused when Old John's past came out, and I had to read the part over to find out who the author was speaking of, but that twist was a nice one.

Confusing, at times out of character and just not really good. It's entertaining enough if you're really bored but there's a lot of fanfiction out there with a lot better characterisation and better style.

I haven't had the best impression of the Doctor Who or Torchwood novels so far, but I have to say I really enjoyed this one! It's a wonderful story, especially for Rory, and for Rory's relationship with the Doctor. The plot is great too, and the supporting characters are quite fascinating. Arthur Darvill is a great reader, too.
