Some of the first words spoken by Clark in Superman For All Seasons put me completely at ease. That’s my Superman.
Not to shit all over Straczynski’s Earth One books, but coming off those volumes with a moody, closed off Clark Kent left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I was ready for something lighter, more hopeful, and more inline with the character. Jeph Loeb just gets the character and Tim Sale’s art really shines.
Can’t recommend this enough. Absolutely loved it.

Not even rating this compared to other comic books. Just truly profound and perfectly structured. No big superhero vs. super villain fight. Just a character study in 4 parts of the most iconic american hero this past century.
