I’ve been left completely speechless. this book was everything I expected, yet it still managed to blow me away. I was so hooked on it right from the beginning, and it never disappointed me, EVER! I loved the representation in this, from the trans characters to the lesbian couple to the openly autistic protagonist. It all felt real and it painted everything in the positive light they deserve while not shying away from the hatred and prejudice that still exists against these communities. It is incredibly gory, but I think all of the medical gore enhances the horror and historical aspects of the novel. Spirits are also handled in a unique and interesting way; It feels familiar yet unknown, and it only made me love this book even more. You know what? Screw it, this book is getting 6 well-deserved stars. Truly astonishing!

another astounding YA novel from AJW. Knew it would be killer, and it delivered!! The body horror was soooo good, loved the intense disgusting medical descriptions. He’s such a brilliant body horror author. My inspiration truly. I also loved how different but equally as fascinating it was from Hell Followed With Us. Can’t wait to read Compound Fracture and his upcoming adult novel!

Finally a horror book which I enjoyed, which gave me the chills and which I can relate to on many levels albeit I'm nonbinary/autistic and not trans/autistic. Author, you sir, I sallute, for writing and giving me the actual horror experience I have never managed to get from any TV, movies or books before.
