If I were watching this as a TV series with subtitles, I probably would give it 5 stars. But something about reading the English translation (with no translation notes) was excruciating to me.

i annotated this short and sweet novel for my boyfriend's bday, and wow was it just as whimsical and endearing as everyone on tiktok said it was. 5/5 i wish i were as optimistic as Kawaguchi is.
