Great Start

Patience Thiers has been living a relatively quite life with her kids until a trip to Chicago brings her into contact with their unknowing father. Now that Aaron Townsend had found his former lover, he has no intention of letting her go.

I have been waiting to get my hands on a Tiffany Patterson book, and I’m pretty happy with the experience. Aaron was a little out of hand, but we like that some times.

If you like misunderstandings and hidden babies, then this one is for you.

Totally different than I expected

This book was totally different than I expected. Only one part was predictable which was the character Sam. However, I’ve never experienced a character like Emma the way she was written. It’s like she was there, but wasn’t there. Like it was a regular story that included a supernatural part that didn’t take over the entire plot. Which was really cool. Aaron definitely needed therapy, but he still had a good heart. I’m glad him and Patience were able to work everything out. Definitely worth the read. This was a very good story!

DID NOT FINISH: 8%

I've said it dozens of times before, and I'll say it a thousand times more. True BDSM always, always, always includes consent by ALL involved. What is portrayed in chapter two of this book is rape, not a bondage or a role-play non-con scene, it is purely, simply, rape.

Didn't pass chapter 1. This was highly uncomfortable, and the themes in the beginning of the book was very icky weird to me. He was too aggressive and did not know how to take the word "NO" which she had said multiple times when they met again. It was so very rapey for no reason. And him dragging her to an empty room while she was resisting?? Like where was her friend??? Eeek
I love a well written possessive bad boy type, but Aaron was icky and gross. And I'm not even touching on the other points in just the first chapter that was so very uncomfortable for me. (Age gap and the odd power dynamics in the bdsm represented on the page)
Really was hoping to like this book but its just not for me.
