I still really enjoyed this and I appreciated that once again Christian White has walked that fine balance of nostalgia and doing something new. I kind of regret listening to this on audio as I can’t help but wonder if it’s the reason I wasn’t able to fully connect with the story via that medium. Perhaps this is one I’ll have to revisit later and actually physically read it. Still, very worthwhile and I’m glad to have finally made the time to get around to it.

3.5 stars. I’ve read all Christian White’s books and this is his third. An easy read (read over an evening and half a day) but predictable and not as gripping as his others. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, the twist to come and it never did. An easy summer read about a teenage girl who goes missing in suburbia with some satanic themes thrown in.
