This is an excellent true crime novel. Factual yet respectful and does not glamorize the horrific crimes the Manson family committed, as so much of Hollywood, podcasts, etc does. And very well written on top of it all.

It’s not that the book is bad. It’s just not what I’m interested in reading at the moment. I’ll definitely come back to it when the time is right.

I grew up seeing this book on my parent's bookshelf. I should not have waited to read it. See, here is the thing, I thought I knew the Manson murders. Not even close.
Told by the Prosecutor, there are details that just cannot make it into a film. Members of the Family have written books and given interviews, but their perspectives cannot be as wide.
This is an excellent book for aspiring attorneys and cops to read, because there is no small amount of trial strategy, case law, and investigative information.

Really interesting book, and perspective. Long but thrilling and different.
