5 Things I Learned From This Book:

1. Entering a book and experiencing the character's world for yourself isn't as romantic and glamorous as one might first expect.

2. Robots can be cute.

3. Don't marry a fictional guy...there's too many things that can go wrong.

4. Fractions stink.

5. Look before you leap. You may end up in a Stephen King novel.

This book was very interesting. I actually loved the thing that the characters could travel around different books! I loved most of the characters and the book was very magical! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves magic, mysteries and books of course!

Another fun middle grade book in which the protagonist can travel within books.  Really enjoyed the villains in this one.

This book was not good. The whole time I was reading it I was constantly thinking “when will the book be over.” Maybe this book is good for a younger audience as I am a person who is an older reader. Would definitely recommend reading land of stories over this series.

I don't know what it is, but this book just wasn't for me. I felt like I was forcing myself to finish it and I think it was mostly cause I wasn't in the mood for it. It did have some good qualities and it'll be easy for me to recommend it to children, but I don't know I was bored and over it halfway through the book. There was just way too much happening all at once. I unfortunately will not be continuing on with the series.

Ugh. I'm to the point where I just can't force myself to like a book no matter how much I want to like it... Nor can I convince myself to keep reading even though I'm 150 pages in and I just know that if I wait a little longer, read a bit more, the book will get better.

I can't do it anymore. I've got too many other books on my to read list.

I'm quite disappointed that this book fell flat for me. Everything about it seemed awesome. That is, until I started reading it. I'm sure it has everything to do with my experience, not the book itself because obviously a ton of readers love it.

Anyway, when I realized my headache was from the confusing, chaotic plot, I had to stop. And I didn't even feel the need to go back to it. I didn't care what happened to Owen or Bethany or Kiel or anyone from the book. No one drew me back in (I almost said "Nobody drew me back in," but that wouldn't exactly be true).

Oh well. You love some and you don't. Unfortunately, this is one I don't. I am going to give the Half Upon a Time series a chance though. I've heard great things about it, and I love fractured fairytales.

Onward and upward!
