Easy to read with a clear idea (compound interest applied to your life) that is repeated many times over. It brings awareness to how easy it is do the small daily things that will put you on the curve towards success, as well as how easy it is not to do them. The slight edge is already working either for you or against you, whether you like it or not.
It would suffice to probably just watch a summary on youtube explaining the core concept and be done with it - but I really appreciated being made constantly aware of the core idea the many times I picked up a the book to read my chapter of the day. I recommend it to anyone looking for a reality check on the control they themselves have over the direction their life takes.

Interesting to read right after Gary Keller's The One Thing. Two valid approaches with some overlap.

A nice book about how our daily choices matter over the long term.

Skimmed - similar to other habit books, but I recommend Atomic Habits or the Power of Habit - even though it predates these. The Slight Edge had fewer actionable examples and more conversational fluff in the writing. Some good quotes.

Read like an infomercial, but I enjoyed some of the thoughts.

I normally wouldn't give 4 stars to what I would say is a poorly written book. But I love the idea presented that it is the little things/habits/choices that made daily are what make the difference in our lives. It suggests a great foundation for application of the big ideas of some of my favorite books (7 Habits, As a Man Thinketh, etc.) and reiterates much of what I learned in CoachU. It is short and direct. I will refer back to this one.

"Steady wins the race." That's the main point.

Since there are soooooo many "success" books out there, I reserve my 5 star reviews for the ones that really make an impact on me. While I could see people calling this book repetitive, I found the reiteration of the main theme helpful. The true value of "the slight edge" comes from applying it in more than one facet of your life. And he shows you just how you can do that with numerous examples.

It's so easy to get lost and overwhelmed when you plan and try to achieve big goals. This book helped me simplify my approach to reaching my goals.

"Success", whatever that is for you, is all about consistent, small steps. And even though everyone seems to know that, not many people actually APPLY that. This book helped me apply that.
