It’s like the original/ philosophy behind Atomic Habits so I’m all in!

There are *some* great tips/philosophies in here I found helpful-- especially for my all-or-nothing ADHD brain, it was good to read over and over about how small and simple actions repeated daily can take you towards longer term, seemingly impossible goals.

HOWEVER- this man's brain is severely rotted by capitalism. He says a few times that success is not about how much money you have but your overall happiness in various areas of life... and yet time and again it's millionaire this billionaire that for examples of success. He repeatedly encourages readers to not waste too many hours of their life on things like bowling(??) or films(???!). He then of course goes on to clarify that *some films* are wastes of time, and others are innovative and educational, films that can teach you about "the birth of a nation." yikes!!!!! Not the film I would choose to allude to!

I get the distinct impression that this guy has only ever read self improvement books and has never once experienced the joy of fiction or getting lost in his own imagination.

The book is also fatphobic as hell, and I would not recommend it to anyone really, as he uses horrible fatphobic language and health is only ever defined as losing weight.

Also he started a predatory MLM company with his daughter... so much for empowering others, Jeff.

I read this only because it was strongly recommended reading material for an online course. I cannot recommend against it enough, and I am looking forward to soon reading what I hope will be the antidote to this capitalist nonsense, "Unthinking Mastery" by Julietta Singh.

I really enjoyed the concept behind this, but I felt at times that it got a bit repetitive (or maybe that was the point...hmmmm).

This book contains excellent lessons about how moving forward toward your goals a little every day will give you that slight edge to achieve them over time. It's like compound interest working in every aspect of your life.

The concept is simple, but it could be life changing. I'm already addicted to micro-plans like this, though, so for me it's not a huge game-changer. But I enjoyed how this book explained the concept and reinforced it over each chapter. I would recommend this book to anyone I know, but especially anyone who feels like they are a victim of circumstances and need a "big break". This book will show you how to earn small breaks every day that will multiply into a big one.

A good, simple idea… stretched out into a book. Idea can be explained in 1 sentence. The rest of the book is simply motivation/inspiration to actually do the thing.
