This could be the most important book you will ever read. You should read it.

So why only four stars? It has some minor details that should be checked. Such as: he refers to the "10,000-hour rule" (do anything for 10,000 hours and you'll become a master in it) introduced by Malcolm Gladwell in [b:Outliers: The Story of Success|3228917|Outliers The Story of Success|Malcolm Gladwell|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1344266315s/3228917.jpg|3364437]. The problem is that Gladwell got that all wrong form Anders Ericsson's research, which pointed out that in average masters in their fields have devoted roughly 10,000 hours of deliberate practice in their field of mastery by the age of 18 (or so), not that doing anything for 10,000 hours will automatically make you an expert (think of all the people driving every day to work: they have done it for 10,000 hours but they are definitely not masters in driving). Anyway, read it.

Great theories, good steps, but all could have been expressed in 1/3 the number of pages.

1 star for being so incredibly repetitive. But I guess Jeff got the points across. Full review to come.

About 100 pages too long, and poorly edited (at least my edition). There was nothing new or revelatory in this book, and the writing was very ego-centric, and dotted with undertones toxic masculinity. Save yourself the time and read Atomic Habits instead.

This book is so inspiring. I felt expanded, like something on the inside expanded when I read this book. Sadly it sat on my very cluttered desk for many months. I am just so glad I picked it up and committed to reading it. I read 10 pages a day. Glad I did.
