Just a short note to say that the audio book was well produced. I wish I could have felt more engaged in this story. It never grabbed me, but I fault myself more than the writing or the story itself. I had grabbed three of these audio books as part of an audible sale, so I decided to push through them so that I wouldn't forget any details. Still, it never quite took hold of my imagination. So it was okay. Three stars.

I know lots of people complain when you can guess the twist but never once gas that bothered me. Tropes are tropes for a reason and the same is true for fantasy clichés.
The book is good, but the audiobook narrator ruins the entire atmosphere with her terrible choices of accents and her constant out of breath nature. I would recommend reading the book over reading it.
