A Twist of the Blade is the second book in the Shadows & Crowns series that picks up in Oblivion where the first book left off. This book is an epic fantasy adventure and you will not want to put it down. I truly love Casia’s character and like in the first book, I found her struggles with mental health incredibly relatable. One of my favorite parts about this book and series is Casia’s crew and the found family vibes. The banter in this series is so well written and I found myself already so attached to these characters just two books in. And of course the relationship between Casia and Elander is a slow burn chef’s kiss in my opinion, the library scene was one of my favorites(iykyk). If you love enemies to lovers, epic battles, and found family vibes, then I highly recommend you start this series!

Series is still ok. I skip through all the sex scenes tbh I don’t care for them at all. It has an interesting premise but I’m not sure I want to bother continuing

I liked this much better than the first book in the series. It felt like there was more going on/we were actually moving forward. Some of the plot felt a bit repetitive, as I’ve seen other readers mention. I still don’t love the characters and the way the FMC’s anxiety is described feels a bit heavy handed to me.

This book felt like I was seeing some growth from the author, but we’ll see as I continue with the series. Also this woman LOVES a cliffhanger.

❤️ Elander Revenmar x Casia Greythorne

Why did it take me so long to start this series? I was really missing out.
