But I don't want it to be over! Great trilogy, great final book. It took me a while to fully remember who everyone was, but it did a good job of reminding us as it weaved through craziness. Just as crazy as the books before, if not moreso in some ways. I started this when I needed something fun to read after starting off the readathon with crappy books and it didn't disappoint. Only wish it wasn't over. Can't wait to see what comes next for Scalzi.
A great conclusion to the trilogy. I enjoyed the whole series. Kiva Lagos is still awesome!

This book ruined the series for me. The shortcomings of the series were laid a little too bare at the end and everything wrapped up far too nicely.
- All the character development feels unearned.
- Everyone seemingly knows “everything”
- Somehow every character in a highly political society thinks the best thing to do is speak bluntly always.
This book could be summarized by everyone knows everything, except they miscalculate one small thing, and that’s the twist. Repeat.
The other repeated twist is that no character ever truly dies.
Oh, and the gaul it takes to end a book series with a literal deus ex machina.

There is nothing quite as satisfying as a series, whether it be on television or written, that never loses its intensity throughout its span and ends with a spectacular finish, as Mr. Scalzi does with this one.

This reminds in style more of the first with being all over the place again. I also noticed that there are sections of summary or info dump that feel overwhelming and exhausting, but when we slow down again and spend time with the characters it's more fun again.
Overall I enjoyed the series and the characters.
The audiobooks definitely worked well for me.
