This was a wonderful book to end a fantastic series. Not quite a space opera, but getting there. I hope there are some more stories set in this universe. I would especially like to see what happened to Earth, and what happens when the Flow reconnects to them.

I haven't even finished the book, but I have to write this :)
I think the main reason I'm dragging out finishing this book is that I'm trying to make it last as long as possible :)
Scalzi is my "comfort food" writer and this book came just as I needed that kind of comfort.
I know exactly what to expect and he hasn't disappointed me yet. I love it the same as I've loved every single book of his I've read so far.

The Last Emperox (The Interdependency #3)

This was fun! I love Scalzi's witty humour, his books are entertaining and I enjoy reading this trilogy too. 4 stars!

One of the very few books that was *too* fast-paced for my taste! While I do appreciate novels that aren't bloated (as so many are nowadays), I actually would've preferred a little more time and development in this case. The wrapping up of all the plot threads was nicely done, but fell a bit flat due to how quickly the character development moved. Still, the pace and plot together meant that I blew through this book and it was a fine ending for the series.

On a second listen I'm still heartbroken about Cardenia, but I think the ambiguous ending is great.

It's the third in a (well planned) trilogy, so in some ways this book is exactly what you expect. It builds on the previous two books, but gains seriousness. An interesting conclusion to a strong series.
