Wasn't that interested in this collection, wondering if I need to read in the publication order between the other X-Men series? I'm excited to get into X of Swords though.

I have really been enjoying Hickman’s run of X-Men. I loved his House of X/Powers of X series. This volume was really great up until it got into the Empyre crossover stuff. I wasn’t a huge fan of that event. Hickman still worked at making these books interesting though so I give him props for that.

I’m continuing to really enjoy the first room of this comic, which is very ambitious and large in scope. I would like to have a little more cohesion in the story, though.

The Brood storyline felt very superfluous especially after everything that came before and most of this volume seemed like padding than driving forward the new Dawn narrative threads.

I have very much the same opinion as about volume 1. The story in this book seems to be driven by events in other books. As in the plot is setup in other series and concluded in this one. This time around the story snippets you get are a bit larger so it is a bit easier to follow. The art and the dialogue are still very good though.

Naked magneto 😏

But actually….  Exodus indoctrinating the mutant children into thinking the x-men + magneto are like gods. New cultish religion forming we love to see it

Man this comic's fantastic. This was a 4 star book for me until the final issue that led me to bump it up to a perfect score. I'm still continuing to enjoy Hickman's run on the x-men. I'm not sure if its because he's a good writer or if the preceding years of x-men stories have been bad. Either way I love this and its wonderful to see some of my favorite characters shine in the spotlight. Mainly Cyclops and Magneto, their stories in this comic are beyond epic and I loved every moment of this.
