I’m not really sure where I was but I DNF after old girl here was crazy over Jericho’s feet. That was just a wild ride for me.
The resistance? Love it. The thrill? Fantastic. The feet? I’m out.

It’s like a Sara J Maas book for the younger reader. Lots of plot twists and you can’t just pick up one book and read it. You have to read the series and start at the beginning. Great adventure and fun storytelling.

So good! Can't wait to read the next one !!

Just like the first book in the series, I was addicted to Hopeless magic. My review for this book is very similar to my review of the first one. I loved the same things and felt annoyed by the same things. I was never quite sure what the author was going to do with some elements.
Spoiler For example, I couldn't figure out if Kiran was going to be good or bad. I was really kind of hoping that he would be bad. So, I liked how that turned out. . . But, it really could have gone either way and that was fun. Overall I really enjoyed this book and am moving on to the third one.

Hopeless Magic is the second installment of the Star-Crossed Series. It definitely had it's moments where I was frustrated or rolling my eyes but in the end, I honestly really enjoyed this audio. I feel like Eden is sort of growing on me and I'm just hoping that she's realizing she's been a pawn for too long. Now is the time to take action, have revenge, and make everyone her little bitch.

Now the whole little "love triangle" was a bit annoying to still read in this book. I don't know about you but having her like a prince who was engaged to someone else was just frustrating to read about. I honestly almost stopped trying to ship her with him - I was totally down to ship her with Jericho. Maybe a rock.

Of course her little crush doesn't go unnoticed. It's used to people's advantage without her knowledge. Then that ending, which was a bit mind blowing to read about, showed everyone's true colors. She was pissed and I loved her fighting back. Her little revenge was sweet and I'm glad that she knows who has betrayed her now. I'm just sad that her brother has been taken and her friends/family were attacked.

Besides all of that, I did mention that I was frustrated with this book. Mostly with Eden but then again she is only 16 years old. I just wish she wasn't so focused on love or the prince. So much as going on that I was hoping they wouldn't get a happy ever after. After the audio ended, I'm actually pretty happy with the overall book. I'm pumped to dive into the third audio tomorrow and I hope it's even more entertaining.

I have to admit, what made me enjoy the first book was the romance. The romance was able to pull me through shaky writing, plot holes, and a million unanswered questions. Unfortunately,
Spoilerwithout that romance (and I would argue there wasn't very much romance in this book)
, my interest waned and irritation started to surface. This review could be so much longer, but I'll stop it here. Unfortunately, the next books in this series are the ONLY ones I have to read. Otherwise, I'd be pretty done with this series. Sigh.

2 Stars.

**Update**09/07/2015
I ended up really enjoying the second and third book of this series.

It actually gets worse. I kept holding out but the world just doesn't hold together and characters have no depth and everything is a secret 'because'
