Awful… a struggle… I always say never again with Frieda McFadden books and I stuck to it for a while but was persuaded to read The Crash. The latter was definitely better than any off her previous books, although still pretty bad, so in a weak moment I gave this one a go. No more… nope, I mean it this time.

    I enjoyed this book thoroughly. Though the characters weren’t likable, they weren’t annoying or grating, they were simply morally grey, and assholes. The final twist was perfect and made the book better. I liked how she sectioned the book and split perspectives at just the right point.

    Overall, a great thriller that didn’t go where I thought it would. I just wish it hadn’t been quite so gross in parts.

     The narrators did an amazing job; their voices felt like they fit how the characters would sound perfectly.

It kept me hooked from start to finish. Blake… what a guy. Not the worst person ever, but wow, did he make some truly questionable decisions. Honestly, I couldn’t even pick a side—I was rooting for chaos. I saw the twist coming a mile away, but it was still an entertaining read.

Fast paced! Unpredictable! Twisty! Suspenseful! All the adjectives! Truly a wild ride. My 4th McFadden book and have yet to be disappointed! And yes some of it is unrealistic—who cares? It’s fiction!  It was entertaining! This was exactly what  I needed to read at the moment. 

4 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you love and fast-paced whirlwind thriller, this is for you! The twist really caught me off guard and I loved the ending for the main character.
