HOLY GOODNESS. I enjoyed The Rose Society a LOT more than The Young Elites - it definitely had the darker tone I was looking for (if you thought TYE was dark, then hold onto your hats with this one!) What I liked most was the Poison Study body swap comparisons between Yelena & Valek and Adelina & Magiano. It's gave me life. After the BIG REVEAL at the end I'm absolutely desperate to read the final book!

I found this book slow paced in the beginning and it was kind of boring at first but later on it got a lot better and more fast paced. There was lots of adventure by the end and the ending did end in a cliffhanger but it was written well. However there were some parts of the story which didn’t really make sense and sometimes the protagonist really annoyed me.

Adelina is such an interesting character who I love but also am scared of and also don't like. She spends so much time out of control and brings darkness, anger and fear with her. The story this time around felt much more intense with more at stake. The new characters slipped into the story seamlessly and brought with them a whole new range of magic. The fight scenes were incredibly written, every movement and action was clear and concise and even with so many characters involved, I still knew exactly where everyone was and what they were doing.
Such a great story.
