You know the problem I had with the other books being too PG for my taste?
Yep was not a problem at all in this one.

Bahahahaha I think that gif (guh-if) is fitting.
I honeslty think I would've enjoyed this book more if I read it after a break from the entire trilogy. Because I just read the books from Anna's view and it felt redundant to me at the time. That is what a companion in, but after the first book from his POV I thought the books were too similar and not enough new information was added to make it worthwhile.
The thing that irked me throughout all these books was the fact that it was spelled luv instead of love. I know, I know it's a minuscule thing, but still! I strongly believe that when British people say an endearing "love", it's spelled as love!
So basically I liked Kaidan's POV, but mostly from just Sweet Evil.

I enjoyed this one. Very much.
...the end made me cry again, alright

"My man parts are crying."
Update 2020
1.5 stars
I have no idea what made me pick up this book after all this time. Okay, that's not entirely true, I do have a few theories:
1. Like I've said before, this series is actual book crack.
2. The two years since I read the original trilogy was just enough to make me forget exactly how many issues I had with it.
3. Studying for this exam has driven me crazy.
I mean, really? The way this series portrays virginity and "purity" makes me want to scream, and oh, poor rejected boys who can barely control themselves around teasing girls, boo hoo.
Sigh.

This was a nice dive back into a world that I really enjoyed. This takes a look at the events from all three of the prior Sweet Evil series books that initially took place in Anna's POV but through Kaiden's eyes.
Was this book necessary? Probably not but it was a fun. We know that Kai has a troubled past and wars with himself a lot even through Anna's eyes but seeing the story through his eyes was interesting. It didn't give a ton of insight into his character or the storylines, because Wendy did a good job of fleshing him out even though we didn't read through his POV. Still, it was fun to revisit the world and get a bit of sexy time through his eyes and see how Anna is viewed from the outside.
It was a fun quick read and I can check this series off as completed now. If you enjoyed the first three books and haven't gotten to this one yet I think you'll enjoy it. Be warned, though, there's a lot of toxic masculinity and sexualized thoughts (cause hello son of Lust) but Kai is a cinnamon roll and it's all good in my eyes.
No trigger warnings stand that you don't already know from reading the prior three books and nobody's about to read this one without reading the original trilogy--so we're good.

You really need to read the trilogy before this one. Even then it’s just ok.
I've never known a book to take me so long.
Also this is the epitome of books I hate where clearly someone that isn't british has written a british character and made it so cliche. Honestly, I don't know any guys that speak like this and I cringed all the time whenever 'luv' was mentioned, like really?

1. I will always sigh for Kai.
2. I will always ship Kaidan and Anna. (Kaina?)
3. This book was SO amazing!
My thoughts in a nutshell. Except this is more orderly. I definitely recommend this book and this series!!!

I did not enjoy this book. It almost made me like the original trilogy less. It added nothing to the story. It seemed to focus only on Kai's weaknesses and none of his strengths. Would not recommend.
Unless you're a super fan of this series, I would highly suggest re-reading the trilogy before giving this book a go. The narrative relies on the reader already knowing what is going on and it skims over big explanations and a lot of details. Since it's been awhile since I read the series - especially the first two books - I didn't remember a lot of details. Because of this it took me a little while to get into the book, but I eventually did and really enjoyed getting Kaiden's point of view. Some of it was a little repetitive at times, but his inner voice was pretty different than Anna's and it added to the overall series experience. I would recommend this to fans of the series, especially to those Super Fans.
