Sweet Temptation is the retelling of the Sweet trilogy from Kaidan’s perspective.
I honestly do not understand why Higgins wrote Sweet Temptation. All Sweet Temptation did was show me how much Kaidan thought about sex. I did not learn anything new about any characters, nor did it change my thoughts on any.
Even though Sweet Temptation is meant to be a 3-in-1 book, I thought that it was almost too condensed. I would have enjoyed it more if Higgins has given Kaiden more scenes that were not in the trilogy, as I already had a rough idea of what went on in his mind. Also since we already knew much of the dialogue, Sweet Temptation was focused on Kaiden’s inner thoughts, not the dialogue.
To be fair, I did find a new-found respect for Kaiden, as Sweet Temptation show his inner struggle so much better. His resistance to his father, as well as to his urges was incredible.
If you loved the Sweet Trilogy, then chances are you will also love Sweet Temptation. I would not recommend reading Sweet Temptation if you have not read the Sweet Trilogy (Sweet Evil, Sweet Peril, Sweet Reckoning).

it was really great being inside Kaiden's head and hearing his thoughts, especially during scenes when I so desperately wanted to know what he was thinking and Anna did as well.
some of his thoughts disturbed me: very possessive and male dominant, however it did change. he changed. he went from hopeless to hopeful because of Anna, and he knows that too.
I liked how the book was condensed down, so we read about the main points of the book.
while reading about how both of them struggled while they were away from the other was kind of yucky, I'm sure it's absolutely true. Kaiden was right they absolutely are stronger together. They love and support each other, and it's a truly strong, deep, and pure (this might not be the right word????) bond of love.
Their story has stayed with me for the past 10 months since I first read the books, and I only just reread my favorite scenes from the last book this past January, so this was like another reread, which I extremely loved.
Kaiden's character arc is one of the strong points for me, but I also love Anna's. Seeing her become confident and badass and a warrior angel. There relationship just really makes me happy.

I WAS SO HAPPY THIS BOOK EXISTS! I think the author is a little too afraid about it being too adult (warnings everywhere, for very little to no actual non-ya stuff) but the book is solid, and was a great way to review the series and how happy it makes me.
No surprise, this was truly amazing.
I had some pretty epic expectations and presumptions and hopes about what this book was going to behold and Wendy surpassed and exceeded them all. I loved all the innocent (for Anna) moments in Sweet Evil where Kai learns to accept his feelings and the fact that he can never act on them. I loved the Sweet Peril scenes where Kai realizes that Anna is worth the fight and is willing to be with her however they can. But most of all, I loved the Sweet Reckoning moments in which Kai learns that he is worthy of happiness and he finally allows himself to truly bask in her love for him.
My favorite scene: Kai's reaction to Anna's picture. Hahaha, priceless!
My favorite quote: ***mild spoiler***
I Sigh for Kai ♡

"No more sex."
I blink several times at Anna as we stand outside the car the next morning. Have we been married long enough for her to say that?
I Sigh for Kai ♡

So grateful to Wendy Higgins for writing this book. As much as I love Anna's point of view, Kaidan's is just beautiful because we can appreciate his change through the story. Loved it.
I did it! I finished this year's reading challenge! 🎉
