IM SO EXCITED!!! The sweet evil series literally changed me and kaidan Rowe is one of my fave book boyfriends❤️❤️ I cannot WAIT until this comes out but then I'll really be upset because I won't have any more sweet evil!!
UPDATE: I enjoyed this book, but I felt that it was a lot of telling of the action and less actual action.

Well, excuse me while I'm sighing for Kai, riding my post end-of-series depression (again) and listening to Kai's playlist. *dreams*
Also, I may or may not be more than slightly morose.
This journey with my beloved Kaidan Rowe was bittersweet. It was amazing and beautiful, but also heartbreaking.
This constant throbbing ache in my heart never left me until almost the end, when Kai broke free from the chains of his terrible past and all the fear that kept him prisoner and finally accepted he couldn't live without Anna, that he wanted that future with her and that he deserved all of it.
So sad everything he went through, from the time with his devil of a father, to the empty, desolate life working as a Nephilim, to the incredible love he felt he had to bury for the good of everyone, to the even emptier life, away from his heart's desire.
I'm so, so glad Anna didn't give up on him and that he finally held on to her. That epilogue? Sweetest thing ever!
Now I know he is free and happy. What else could we ask for?
So, thank you, Wendy! For giving him that happiness and for giving us access to his innermost thoughts and feelings.
P.S. Can I just say I loved the lyrics of the songs in the beginning of each chapter? Great idea, considering Kai's a drummer and lover of music. Also, those songs fit him like a glove. Amazing!

Zum Inhalt will ich diesmal gar nicht so viel schreiben, denn bei "Sweet Temptation" handelt es sich um die kompakte Version der Sweet Trilogie, deren Inhalt ich schon ausführlich bei den einzelnen Bänden beschrieben habe. Was diesmal anders ist: Man erlebt die Geschichte aus Kaidans Perspektive.
Normalerweise bin ich nicht ein Fan davon, wenn Autoren dieselbe Geschichte 1:1 "recyclen" und bloss die Pronomen ändern. Da ich Kaidan aber schon in der ursprünglichen Sweet Trilogie unglaublich toll fand, MUSSTE ich die Story noch einmal aus seiner Perspektive lesen. Und glücklicherweise wurde ich nicht enttäuscht! Es handelt sich nicht bloss um einen Abklatsch der ursprünglichen Geschichte, die Autorin hat tatsächlich auch ein paar Szenen eingefügt, die in Annas Abwesenheit passiert sind und so neu für mich waren. Ausserdem war es unglaublich interessant und auch irgendwie süss, endlich Kais Gedankengänge zu erfahren. Man merkt als Leser richtig, wie sich Kai allmählich in Anna verliebt - selbst wenn er sich das eine lange Zeit nicht eingestehen wollte.
In 512 Seiten konnte die Autorin ausserdem natürlich nicht die ganze Sweet Trilogie noch einmal ausführlich beschreiben, so dass sie hier und da einige Szenen abgekürzt oder sogar ganz weggelassen hatte. Und ich muss zugeben, dass hat der Geschichte mehr genützt, als geschadet. Ich hatte bei den vorherigen Bänden aus Annas Sicht ja schon mehrfach angemerkt, dass die Storys hin und wieder etwas zäh und langatmig waren- das war hier absolut nicht der Fall. Obwohl ich wusste, was passiert, konnte ich das Buch nicht mehr aus der Hand legen. Kaidans Sicht hat dem Ganzen den nötigen Pepp verliehen, denn seine Gedanken sind absolut nicht so unschuldig und prüde, wie die von Anna. Damit konnte ich mich auch schon eher mit ihm identifizieren und fand ihn sogar um einiges sympathisch.
