I’m a huge TJ Klune fan this one just fell a little flat for me. Although it fell flat I still enjoyed the book. I was a little confused at the beginning with the characters but I was able to understand the whole plot because of TJ Klunes amazing character development and descriptions.. This one was a little different from the other books and you can tell this was one of his earlier books that was indie published being rereleased. Even though it was different than what I’ve read recently by him, I’m here for it and enjoyed this book.

He just knows how to give good descriptions but grab the attention of his readers. I will forever pick up his books and give them a read as he is a phenomenal writer and his depiction within his books are top tier. All in all I really enjoyed this book.

Delightfully quirky with all the human weirdness that Klune can weave into one tale, per usual. This one feels like its core inspo was The Breakfast Club plus Stranger Things remixed with two moody queer leads, and it works!
