The story while not always super engaging did leave me thinking about relationships, family, and what it is like "coming home" and being around your siblings as adults. I liked the touch of childhood nostalgia and although there was more to the story than just that it leaves me missing my brothers and looking forward to visiting them soon.

I thought it was going to be like Glass Castle, but glad it wasn't. It was very predictable though.

I enjoyed this novel, it’s nothing crazy special and somewhat predictable but I appreciated the story line. A few things I did not like was the repeat of “sent to prison” and instead of describing a feeling Natalie felt it was just straight up said, not making it super impactful.

I was reeled in by a description that said “perfect for fans of Claire Lombardo’s The Most Fun We Ever Had,” and I was BAMBOOZLED. THAT book is a Top 10 all-time. THIS one felt a little generic and was nothing like it, other than a family drama. Very cliche, very surface level, too predictable and too fluff for me. The plot is great, but the execution was too beach-read for me, which was not what I was looking for.

???????????????????????

I enjoyed the story, related to the protagonist, and felt like it had a lot of potential for the first half of the book. The second half took a nosedive, and there were loose ends that felt unresolved. Overall, a fine beach read.

I could not stop listening, this book is so good!

I was so excited to read this book for the #biglibraryread. This book could’ve been soooo good, but just wasn’t. The premise was great - a sister looking for forgiveness and a fresh start after severely wronging her siblings - but the way it played out was all too unrealistic and quite juvenile. I kept waiting for it to get better, but more side stories just kept being added and convoluted the storyline further. Skip this one - I DNF’d at 46%.
